Huiqi Zhang is a Full Professor at Institute of Polymer Chemistry, College of Chemistry, Nankai University. He received his B.S. degree in chemistry and Ph.D. degree in polymer chemistry and physics from Nankai University. He was a faculty staff at Department of Applied Chemistry and College of Chemical Engineering at Tianjin University (China, 1996–1999) and post-doc. at University of Twente and Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands, 1999–2004) and Lund University (Sweden, 2004–2006). His current research interests are biomimetic and intelligent polymers, with main focus on the design, synthesis, and application studies of water-compatible molecularly imprinted polymers and photoresponsive reactive liquid-crystalline polymers.
