Prof. Zhaoping Liu received his Ph. D. degree in inorganic chemistry from University of Science & Technology of China in 2004. He then spent 2.5 years in National Institute for Material Science (NIMS), Japan, where he began his postdoctoral study in the field of inorganic layered materials. Following which he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton, in which he studied on solution-phase synthesis of III-V nanomaterials. In Oct. 2008, he joined Ningbo Institute of Material Technology & Engineering (NIMTE). His current research interests focus on Li-ion batteries and graphene. So far, Prof. Liu has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers in high-impact journals including J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem., Adv. Mater. etc.
