On November 4th, 2010, invited by professor Yang Guang, professor Peter Anthony Williams from Materials Science Research Center of Glyndwr University, as well as professor Vic Morris from Food Research Institute, UK, visited Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), and gave two reports entitled《The structure and properties of polysaccharides》and《Probing molecular structure with atomic force microscopy》 respectively.
Professor Williams introduced the structure and properties of polysaccharides, as well as related research progress and application, provided students and teachers an academic feast about polysaccharide biological materials.
Professor Vic Morris’ report introduced a method to study molecular structure——atomic force microscope. His research is in a world leading position. So faced the novel research method, teachers and students learned a lot.
Teachers and students participated showed great interest in both reports and raised many questions.
