四川大學雷景新教授、江亮副研究員《Nature Communications》:首次研制出室溫環境下可控自毀的新型智能聚合物材料,可用于新一代物理信息安全保障
In modern warfare, once electronic equipment is cracked, it leads to the leakage of military intelligence information. Traditional encryption and destruction methods are difficult to effectively protect against quantum technology and physical residue issues, making information security a strategic key to victory. Self-destructive polymers are applied in the new generation of physical information security guarantee technology, which can achieve the instantaneous self-destruction of electronic devices under specific conditions, effectively making up for the deficiencies of traditional technologies in encryption and destruction. However, there are few reports on polymers that can achieve controllable self-destruction by responding to moisture in natural environments. Our team has successfully developed a "hydrogen-bonded nano-constrained self-destructive polymer (HNSPs)" with excellent mechanical properties and humidity-adjustable self-destruction capabilities. This new material is durable at room temperature but can spontaneously transform from solid to liquid in response to environmental humidity, and its transformation rate can be precisely controlled by humidity. When heated, the liquid can be reversed back to solid, thereby achieving reversible and humidity-programmable behavior. Based on the developed controllable self-destructive polymer materials, it can provide solid technical support and strategic guarantee for building a multi-level and all-round information security system. The research results were published in the internationally renowned journal Nature Communications in December 2025.
